It is an emotional process of acceptance and grace. It should happen always, no matter the hurt.
While, forgetting refers to letting a particular event fade from memory.
Forgiving is more about accepting what happened, while forgetting is about not recalling that event.
It is possible to forgive without forgetting, but it is als possible to forget without forgiving.
