I remembered being so stuck in my self-development.
I wanted to develop myself so desperately, but had no idea how to start.
And although, I still don’t have all the answers, and I’ll never pretend I do, there are some tools that have helped my self-development.
I Am
The first app I started using is I Am. I am using the Premium version, which has been a blessing. It isn’t necessary to have a lot of benefits, but if you’re serious about your self-development, I’d definitely say it’s worth the investment.
It helped me stick with my affirmations. Every morning, when I wake up at 8 am, it’s one of the first things I do; I practice my affirmations. When you’re doing it consistently for a number of days, you’ll get a streaks of so many days. It is really motivating to see that number go up every day. And even if you’ll forget it for a day, no worries, you can still get your streaks back the next day. When you’ll forget for two days, you lose your streaks.
You have a lot of themes, such as: be confident, fall in love, grow as a couple, manifest abundance, stop overthinking, improve self-talk, morning routine, control stress and anxiety, monthly affirmations, heal your inner child, boost self-worth, practice gratitude, find your happiness, enjoy the moment, think positive, law of attraction, feel blessed, …
Habits
This one’s an app that I only started using recently. I was looking for an alternative for the app Finch.
Finch is an app that can help with sticking with habits. But you stick to your habits when you take care of an imaginary bird. Watering them, talking with them, … And although I heard it motivated a lot of people in my environment using the app, I found it stressful.
That’s why I believe Habits is better. You just get a notification a few times a day, so you can drink glasses during the day, instead of stressing at 8 pm because you haven’t been drinking enough that day. I thought it to be better to get a few notifications during the day to remind you to drink a glass, then drinking half a liter at 8 pm.
